In The Tall Grass

Synopsis: In The Tall Grass is a verbatim play, written in response to the growing murder rate of transgender women in the United States. Set against the backdrop of this national atrocity, the play follows the story of Shade Schuler – a transgender woman of color whose decomposed body was found in a field in the Dallas medical district in July 2015. This is an ensemble piece so actors will play a principal role as well as multiple smaller roles.
- Seeking White male – 40’s, Latino female – 30’s/40’s, African-American Transgender female – 20’s/30’s
- Rehearsals will begin Saturday, August 26 running Mon – Fri 6PM – 10PM and Saturdays 10AM – 6PM
- Please ensure availability for potential 3rd weekend
- All actors are compensated.
