Pua: the Spanish translation for the plectrum, a small flat tool used to pluck or strum a stringed instrument.
La Pua is an online music education offering that provides access to free guitar lessons via a series of synchronous and asynchronous classes in light of Covid-19. Our Jazz series music director, Todd Parsnow, hosts renowned composers to further enhance the participant’s experience and education. Integrative to their engagement, students are taught how to be thoughtful, contributive members of the community. Whether a beginner or an experienced musician, all are welcome to learn at their own pace.
