Director of Education
Tiffany Jackson is a graduate of the University of North Texas (Denton) where she received her BA in Public Relations. As a connector of people, her passion for the arts was born the day her father took her hand to dance. Today, the beat goes on but to a different drum; she enjoys creating dynamic opportunities for children and older adult learners by helping them to find their spark, their passion, their very own rhythm. She is a former Community Site Manager for Big Thought; where she found her roots in using various forms of art to impact the lives of underserved middle-schoolers.
Tiffany’s work with Big Thought helped propel her to step into her role as Director of Education at Bishop Arts Theatre Center where she has held for two years. Under her leadership, Tiffany has expanded the reach of the arts education program to include the Silver Stories Storytelling Circle- an engaging arts education workshop for older adult learners and the Teen Council for young adults ages 14-18. She has also assisted in helping to train and develop new teaching artists. Tiffany recently received the 2020 Unsung Hero Excellence in the Arts award recognized by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
When she is not at work, Tiffany finds time to keep busy by volunteering to help underserved people in her community. Throughout the years, she has received recognition for her community service work from Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson and community advocate, Edna Pemberton. Tiffany is excited to continue her role at BATC and looks forward to impacting more lives in the arts.
